So you ask- how does this work? It’s simple and straightforward. This is just like having therapy sessions with your therapist. You and your therapist will discuss the challenges you are experiencing and work collaboratively to find fitting solutions, walk closer to your hopes, and reach your goals. The difference is that you don’t need to go through the hassle of scheduling and commuting to your therapist’s office. In using our service, you can write to your therapists conveniently, anytime and anywhere, and can have therapy sessions (i.e., writing sessions) at your own pace and at the comfort of your own space. Phone sessions are also available.

The steps to begin therapy sessions are quite simple:

1. Sign up

Sign up to our service by filling out your basic information and the reasons that brought you here so we can match you with a fitting therapist.

2. Payment

Choose a weekly or monthly plan that best fits your needs. After a payment is made through your PayPal account, you can expect to be connected to a licensed therapist within 24 hours.

3. Connect with Your Therapist

You will receive a welcoming message from your therapist to introduce himself/herself. After reviewing the therapist’s intro message and profile information, you can begin therapy by clicking “Accept”. Or you can click “Decline” if you’d like to be matched with a different therapist.

4. Start Therapy

After you click “Accept,” therapy officially begins! You can message your therapist at any time on the “My Sessions” board in your account, 24/7. You will receive an e-mail notification every time your therapist responds. All conversations between you and your therapist are encrypted, secure, and confidential. If you feel your therapist isn’t right for you, you can change therapist at any time. We want you to be comfortable with who you work with. Phone sessions are also available.

5. Cancel Anytime

You can cancel service any time before your next billing cycle to stop future payments. You can also re-start service at any time. Just like that, simple and straightforward.

The Benefits:

Please note that the written conversations between you and your therapist are asynchronous, meaning not in real-time. But don’t worry, it won’t be long before your therapist responds to you. For each therapist's individual availability and the frequencies of engagement you can expect, please refer to the therapist's profile information. These asynchronous sessions have many benefits:

  • Allowing you and your therapist to read and respond at your own availability.
  • Providing the opportunity for you and your therapist to re-read and reflect on your conversations thoroughly before drafting a response back, rather than feeling rushed to send back a message immediately. We understand that precious ideas, feelings, and revelations come to us with thoughtful explorations.
  • Being able to keep track of all present and previous discussions you’ve had together with your therapist can be quite helpful in facilitating progress and moving your work forward.
